We recently kicked off the newest cohort of the Montgomery TechLab Defense Accelerator in partnership with Treble One and the Montgomery Regional Chamber, and we wanted to share a quick update in case you weren’t able to join us.
On Tuesday, January 13, founders, defense and government stakeholders, mentors, partners, and ecosystem leaders gathered at SBOSS in the KRESS Building to officially launch the 2026 Defense Accelerator cohort. The kickoff marked the beginning of an eight-week program designed to support companies developing technologies with strong defense and dual-use applications.
The evening focused on welcoming the cohort, highlighting the program’s priorities, and fostering early connections between founders and the broader defense innovation community. Attendees had the opportunity to meet the companies, engage with program partners, and begin conversations that will continue throughout the accelerator.
The 2025 cohort includes the following companies:
- Autonomous Federal – develops secure, data-driven technology solutions that help government agencies modernize operations, automate workflows, and improve decision-making across complex federal environments.
- FibrX – focuses on advanced fiber-based materials designed for high-performance and mission-critical applications, bringing innovation in durability, strength, and scalability to defense and industrial markets.
- Petra Power – builds resilient energy and power solutions that support reliable operations in defense, commercial, and remote environments, addressing critical challenges in power generation, storage, and deployment.
- MoonBase AI – develops artificial intelligence tools that transform complex data into actionable insights, supporting decision-making, operational efficiency, and situational awareness across defense and commercial use cases.
- Xdown – delivers cybersecurity and risk-mitigation solutions that help organizations identify vulnerabilities, reduce exposure, and protect critical systems against evolving cyber threats.
